Tammie Lou Tucker, 43, of El Dorado Springs, Mo., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs. Tammie was born Sept. 17, 1969, in Plymouth, Ind., the daughter of Edwin and Winnottee(Calhoun) Tucker. Tammie had five brothers, Eddie, James, Otis, Kenneth and Robert; and two sisters, Mary and Violet.

Tammie grew up and attended school in Golden City and Lamar. She had several homes as a child, but the people who she said raised her and were special to her were her big sister Mary, her brother Robert, and her Aunt Billie and Uncle Richard. As an adult she lived in Nevada, before moving to El Dorado Springs in September 2005.

Tammie owned her own home and loved being on her own. She shared her home with her roommate Nancy. Tammie loved her dog, Wendy Sue, and her cat, Mocha, and they will miss her. She loved the Kansas City Chiefs, watching Nascar, playing cards, eating out and Special Olympics.

Tammie never wore dresses, could cuss with the best of them and loved her chew; but she could also laugh and joke and enjoyed spending time with her friends and visiting her brother and sister.

Preceding her in death were her parents.

She is survived by her sister, Mary McMullin, of Grove, Okla.; her brother, Robert, of Nevada; her special friends, Billie and Richard Ford of Grove, Okla., who were like her aunt and uncle; and her fiancé and best friend, Greg Stafford, of El Dorado Springs.

Funeral services for Tammie Tucker were Monday, Aug. 12, at 1 p.m., at Bland-Hackleman Chapel in El Dorado Springs, with LeeAnn Boyd officiating. Interment followed in Newport Cemetery in Golden City, Mo., under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
