Patricia Ann Hallam, 72, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at ABC Healthcare in Harrisonville, Mo., following an illness of several months. She was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Macomb, Ill., to Jesse Calvin McDonald and Thelma Mae Boyd McDonald. She married Claude Hallam on Sept. 19, 1959, and he preceded her in death 1981.

Patricia graduated from high school in Bushnell, Ill., in 1959. She moved to Nevada in 1973, and worked at the Nevada Habilitation Center from 1975 until her retirement in 2001. Patricia liked yellow roses, going to Cindy's every day for coffee, playing bingo, walking, and driving around sightseeing in the country. She especially loved family get-togethers as her family was the most important part of her life.

Survivors include her children, Mike Hallam and Julie, Nevada, Mark Hallam and Georgiana, Moundville, Marty Hallam and Kathy, Nevada, Cindy Kirkpatrick, Nevada, and Terry Hallam, and Teresa, Nevada; 22 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry McDonald, and Jeff McDonald and Robyn; two sisters, Debbie Keeny and John, and Mary Jane Garrett and Ray, all of Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Edward McDonald; and one sister-in-law, Pauline McDonald.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with the Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Tuesday.
