Ronald Gene Hopkins

Ronald Gene Hopkins, 68, a resident of Kansas City, Mo., went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Ruth); his son, Michael Hopkins; two daughters, Mary Gaines and Pamela Hickman; a sister, Elaine Gregory; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Ronald Gene Hopkins Jr.

There will be a visitation from 6-9 p.m., today, at the E.L. Eley & Sons Funeral home in Kansas City, Mo., with a funeral service at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main, Fort Scott, Kan. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Fort Scott.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the Cheney Witt Chapel.
