Randy Dean Sutton, 40, McCune, Kan., formerly of Bronaugh, Mo., passed away on Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Freeman Health System West, Joplin, Mo., following a long-term illness. He was born July 31, 1973, in Pekin, Ill., to Lyle Edward Sutton and Patty Jo (Phillips) Sutton.

Randy was raised in Bronaugh and graduated from Bronaugh High School in 1992, where he was active in FFA and Jr. ROTC. He lived and worked in construction and mobile home construction and transportation in McCune , Kan., for a number of years and also for Orthoflex Saddle, in Nevada, for a time. Randy loved fishing, bald eagle spotting, arrowhead hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his sons and family. He also loved playing pool in tournaments.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa Creamer, McCune, Kan.; four sons, Christopher Clevenger, Sweet Springs, Mo., Mason Sutton, Dalton Sutton, and Brodie Sutton, all of McCune, Kan.; his mother and stepfather, Patty and Jerry Staples, Frontenac, Kan.; one brother, Rocky Sutton, Pekin, Ill.; two sisters, Denise Nordyke and her husband, Kenny, Cherokee, Kan., and Dawn Markus and her husband, Mike, Bronaugh, Mo.; stepbrother, Larry Staples, Gentry, Ark.; stepsister, Nancy Hencey, Frontenac, Kan.; two nephews, Mark Morgan and Bobby Morgan; Steffani Markus; and numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by his father; grandmother, Dorothy Womak; and grandfather, George Phillips.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. The family receives friends on Monday, Feb. 17, from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
