Jason Thomas Rawlings, 46, Nevada, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Kansas University Medical Center, in Kansas City, Kan. Jason was born Oct. 25, 1967, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., to Levi Thomas and Patricia Kay (Jenkins) Rawlings.

Jason grew up in Nevada and attended Nevada R-5 schools. He worked as a carpenter for most of his life. Jason was an avid fisherman and loved hunting. He was a member of the Men's Auxiliary of V.F.W.

Survivors include one daughter, Serena Renee Parker, Nevada; one son, Jacob Rawlings, Nevada; two grandchildren, Fancy Parker and Levi Rawlings; his mother, Pat McClellan; stepfather, Denny, Nevada; one brother, Alvin Rawlings, El Dorado Springs; two sisters, Tammy Herren, Rich Hill, and Terri Bishop, Nevada; and 10 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Virginia and Everett Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., today, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Hagan officiating. Interment will follow in Tolson Cemetery near Sheldon.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m., Thursday, at the funeral home.
