Harry Dale Foreman Sr., 69, Walker, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. He was born on Oct. 9, 1944, in Winchester, Ind., to Ralph Carl Foreman and Julia Aveline (Clevenger) Foreman.

Harry graduated from high school in Salina, Kan., and attended Pittsburg State University, Pittsburg, Kan. He met Jennie on a blind date on April Fool's Day and they were married in Nevada on March 19, 1965. They lived for 13 years in Muncie, Ind., and moved to Vernon County in 1978. Harry worked as a commercial and residential electrician. His hobbies included collecting coins, Route 66, singing and writing songs on his guitar, he enjoyed Nascar, classic and antique cars and traveled in more than 30 states. He had served as a member of the Blue Mound Township Board. Harry was baptized in the early '70s.

In addition to his wife, Jennie, of Walker, survivors include his children, Julia Catherine Vankirk and Jim, Mulberry, Kan., Harry Dale Foreman Jr. and Donna, Archie, Mo., Tonya Renee' Smith and Mark, El Dorado Springs, Mo., and Brenda Marie Czarnecki and Patrick, Harrisonville, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, Ashley Reeves and Donnie, Angela Grable and David, Randy Engle, Amanda Vankirk, Nicole Foreman, Brett Foreman, Ashley Murphy, Jordan Murphy, Cody Murphy, Nathan Smith, Dalton Smith, and Mitchell Longstreth; five great-grandchildren, Kaden Reeves, Gabriel Engle, Jasmyne Reeves, Benjamin Grable and Zaden Vankirk; three brothers, Vernon Foreman and Christine, New Castle, Ind., John D. Foreman, Muncie, Ind., and Howard Foreman and Diane, Muncie, Ind.; and two sisters, Carol Mays, Muncie, Ind., and Wilma Rawlins and Harry, Winchester, Ind. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve, Robert, Wayne, William, and Oran; and two sisters, Nila Mays and Thelma Mills.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, March 8, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada. Interment will follow in Green Mound Cemetery in Harwood, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., today, at Ferry Funeral Home.

Contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in care of Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City, Mo.
