Clifford Earl Sneed Sr.

Clifford Earl Sneed Sr., 77, of rural Sheldon, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Freeman Health System West, in Joplin, Mo., after a long illness. Clifford was born Jan. 18, 1937, in San Dimas, Calif., to Harvey R. Sneed and Edna Mae (French) Sneed. He was united in marriage to Patsy Ruth Wells June 14, 2003, in Sheldon, and she preceded him in death on March 27, 2006.

Clifford was well-known by many former fellow co-workers of the Nevada Habilitation Center, where he retired from after 30 years of service. He was active in the Nevada Elks, and also the Nevada Eagles where he had served as president, secretary-treasurer and district president in past years.

Clifford is survived by one son, Clifford Sneed Jr. and his wife, Madeline, of Sheldon; one daughter, Toni Sneed, Tucson, Ariz.; one brother, Kenneth Sneed and his wife, Carol, of Sheldon; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patsy; one daughter, Vickie Agapeau; one brother, Robert Sneed; and one sister, LaDora Mead.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
