The 13th annual Knights of Columbus golf tournament was held Saturday, at the Frank E. Peters Municipal Golf Course, in Nevada.

Clear skies prevailed, along with hot temperatures, which led to a very successful tournament, officials said. There were 18 teams entered in this year's tournament.

The three-person team of Keith Hammontree, Lynn Seaver and Mike Shrimplin won the Championship Flight, with a score of 63. They were awarded first place by a tiebreaker, over the team of Scott Burns, Tim Mead and Lee Garwood.

Third place in the Championship Flight went to Dale Leisure, Venessa Leisure and Jeff Smith. They finished just one stroke behind the top two teams, at 64.

The winner of the A Flight was also determined by a tiebreaker, as the first three teams all turned in a score of 67. Taking first place was the team of Doug Campbell, Marc Mason and Caleb Mason.

Second place went to Mark Quitno, David Litton and John Quitno and the team of Scott Theis, Brice Leonard and Chris Hacker took third.

The top three teams in the B Flight all finished with the same score of 72. Those places were also determined by the tiebreaker system.

Bob Hendrix, Bill Mische and Hutson Mische took the top spot, followed by the team of Tom Hirschman, Shane Hirschman and Larry Hiller in second. Justin Lee, Aaron Valliet and Mike Klotz finished third.

In the 65-and-older Flight, Ray Crawford, Larry Testman and John Klingaman shot the lowest score of the tournament, a 59, to take the top spot. Second place went to Richard Perkins, Jim Ayers and J.P. Marroquin, at 62, followed by Ed Krall, Maynard Browning and Dean Valentine in third, at 65.

The Closest to the Pin award was won by Dale Leisure on the fourth hole, Mike Brown in No. 7, Nick Swischer on No. 11 and Time Pashia on No. 18. The longest drive on No. 10 was hit by Dale Leisure for the regular division and Jim Erpenbach in the senior division.
