Elsie Ann Stafford

Elsie Ann Stafford, 56, of Golden City, Mo., passed from this life on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at her home. She was born March 2, 1958, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of John Walter and Neola Elsie (Weis) Richards.

Elsie attended school in the Kansas City area, married, and became the wonderful mother of four children. She was an extremely hard worker, working at times three jobs to support her family then as a single parent. Most of her working life was spent as a waitress, bartender, cook, and cashier, and she also worked as an in-home nurse for a short time. In her spare time she loved to crochet. But her greatest loves were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Stephanie Dawn Peters and Donald, of El Dorado Springs, Rick Allen Stafford and Kayla, also of El Dorado Springs, Robby Dean Stafford of Golden City, and Traci Marie Stafford of El Dorado Springs; siblings, Gilbert Richards, of El Dorado Springs, Debbie Potter of Nevada, Kenny Weis and Connie of Arkansas, and John Richards of Kansas; 16 grandchildren, Micah Stafford, Adam Peters, Kyle Peters, Mythius Peters, Kegan Peters, Sean Stafford, Lucas Stafford, Brooklyn Stafford, Kregg Stafford, Robby Stafford Jr., Kingston Stafford, Kyan Roberts, Kyra Roberts, Kaden Roberts, Danielle Cornell, and Tristan Peters; and two great-grandchildren, Chloe Stafford and Damian Stone. Of special mention are Randy Beckford and his daughter, Skyla, whom she also considered her family. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marvin Richards.

A memorial service for Elsie Ann Stafford is scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada. Friends may call now and until the hour of service at Ferry Funeral Home.
