Lloyd E. Sisseck, 71, Nevada, Mo., passed from this life on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at his home in Nevada, following a lengthy illness. Lloyd was born Aug. 13, 1943, in Barton County, Mo., to Ray Earl and Katie E. (Rolando) Sisseck. He was united in marriage to Jo Clifelene Pruitt on Dec. 11, 1965, in Liberal, Mo., and she survives of the home.

Lloyd was raised in the Liberal area and graduated from Liberal High School with the Class of 1962. Following high school he began employment with Hayes Grocery Store in Liberal, working there for a number of years before working for Coca Cola Bottling Company in Fort Scott, Kan., for an additional 19 years. Lloyd then worked for Center Township, retiring as Foreman in 2005 after 20 years of service. In addition to his other jobs, Lloyd enjoyed farming and raised cattle for many years.

Music was also something he enjoyed and was the song leader in his church for several years. Lloyd especially liked making jelly, baking cookies and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Jo, he is survived by his children, Gary Sisseck and his wife, Tammy, Nevada, Rhonda Gerths and her husband, Don, Nevada, Ken Sisseck and his wife, Niki, Nevada, and Michele Murray and her husband, Todd, Nevada; eight grandchildren, Mariah and her husband, Jacob Englebrecht, Dakota Sisseck, Kalee Gerths, Kaleb Williams, Austin Sisseck, Kiana Murray, Blair Murray, and Riley Murray; two brothers, Robert Sisseck and his wife, Brenda, Moundville, and Wayne Sisseck and his wife, Mary, Deerfield, Mo.; one sister, Betty Smith and her husband, Marvin, Liberal; and numerous nieces and nephews, other loved ones and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the Pentecostal Assembly Church, in Nevada, with Pastor Dennis Englebrecht officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada.
