Richard R. Hargrove

Richard R. Hargrove, 82, of Queen Creek, Ariz., passed away March 15, 2015. He was born in Dederick, Mo., on Feb. 24, 1933, to Charley and Bertha Hawkins Hargrove.

Richard was a star player for the 1952 Nevada High School Basketball Big 8 Champs. He served in the army during the Korean War. He had a successful career as an architect. On Dec. 7, 1958, he married Sharron E Brewer with whom he had his dear daughter, Sandra, before divorcing in 1972.

Richard is survived by his daughter, Sandra and her husband, Tim Fernandez, and their children, Sarena, Emma and Katherine; his sister, Ruby Sherman; his brother, Charles Hargrove; several nieces and nephews; and his long-time companion, Claudia Herold and her children, Geoff and David Bailey, and their families.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lola Heacock, Lucille "Short" Nelander, Marvin "Bud" Hargrove, Ethel "Toots" Wynes, Ann Cox, Harriet Neill, Terrell Hargrove, Allen Hargrove, and Evelyn Bea Hargrove.
