Tigers take second at NHS track and field invitational

The Nevada Tigers finished runner-up to Lamar in both the men's and women's divisions at Saturday's 17th Annual Nevada Track and Field Invitational.

In the women's division, second-place Nevada accumulated 142 points, while champion Lamar finished with 186. Finishing in third-place was Bronaugh with 55 points; New Covenant Academy in fourth-place with 30 points; El Dorado Springs in fifth-place with 29 points; and Purdy in sixth-place with two points.

In the men's division, runner-up Nevada scored 103 team points, while first-place Lamar racked up 247 points. Finishing in third-place was El Dorado Springs with 60 points; Purdy grabbed fourth-place with 26 points, while Bronaugh finished in fifth-place with seven points.

Individual results

Nevada junior Reagan Bradley walked away with two first-place finishes, for the 100 and 200 meter dashes. In the 100 meter, Bronaugh's Mandy Murphy took third-place, while teammate Bonnie Moore finished in fourth-place.

In the 200 meter, Nevada had two of the top three finishes, with Bradley netting first while teammate Jansen Miller placed third.
