Lois Arlene McInroy, 73, Milo, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at her home in Milo, following a lengthy illness. Lois was born Dec. 29, 1942, in rural Sheldon, Mo., to Ernest Lee and Lillian Fern (Compton) Kuntz. On May 18, 1984, she was united in marriage to Dick McInroy, in Sheldon, and he survives of the home.

Lois grew up in the Sheldon area. She attended the Phillips country school and later Sheldon High School where she graduated with the Class of 1959. Following high school Lois worked for a time at Nelly Don, Key Work Clothes, and Western Insurance. She and Dick also operated R&L Auto Trim for a number of years until her retirement. Lois was a charter member of the Eagles Auxiliary, and a member of the Vernon County Historical Society. She also enjoyed geneology and researching family history.

In addition to her husband, Dick, she is survived by three daughters, Robin Snare and her fiancé, Theodore Rossiter, Nevada, Lora Taylor, Aldrich, Mo., and Tammy Crews and her husband, Larry, Nevada; one son, Tony Pettibon and his wife, Candi, Nevada; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert Kuntz, Harrisonville, Harold Kuntz, Kirksville, Mo., and Leroy Kuntz, Milo; two sisters, Mary Lou Hobson, Ephrata, Wash., and Barbara Pignone, Independence, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 2, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada, with the Rev. Mark Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery in Milo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
