Billie Ruth Butler

Billie Ruth Butler, 79, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016 at her home in Nevada, Mo. Billie was born on May 27, 1937 in Maryville, Tenn. to Homer Alvin and Francis Blanche (Hutsell) Butler.

Billie moved to Levacy, Mo with her family at the age of 11. She began working at the age of 15 at Dunfield's Clothing Manufacturing in Lexington, Mo. Later she worked for a number of years for Nelly Don in North Kansas City, Mo before coming to the Nevada area. She worked at Nelly Don in Nevada until they closed. Billie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, Michael Butler and his wife Pat, Nevada; grandchildren, Chelsea Butler, Pittsburg, Kan., Megan Butler, Cheney, Kan. and Whitney Butler, Cypress, Texas; great grandchildren Riley Everitt and Alivia Butler; siblings Bud Butler, Jack Butler, Ed Butler, Mary Gann and Jo Liles; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Larry Butler and Dean Venable; and two sisters, Peggy Fernau and Betty Miller.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 at Ferry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.
