Sharon K. Wiggans

Sharon K. Wiggans, age 58, resident of Nevada, Mo, and formerly of Fort Scott, Kan., died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center. She was born Jan. 3, 1958, in Los Angeles, Calif. She married Donnie Wiggans, Sr. on June 15, 1976, in Girard, Kan. She worked as a CNA for Arkhaven Nursing Home in Fort Scott. Sharon enjoyed sewing, camping, and canoeing. She liked to go to yard sales and collect knick-knacks. She volunteered at the Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. She babysat for every one of her grandkids and loved spending time with each of them.

Survivors include her husband Donnie of the home; three sons, Donnie Wiggans, Jr. and wife Jennifer, Bronson, Kan., Christopher Wiggans and wife Faith, Nevada, Mo., and Timothy Wiggans and wife Alicia, Nevada, Mo.; four brothers, Freddie, Billy, Harold, and Ricky; four sisters, Mary Louise, Dorinda, Rosella, and Shirley; ten grandchildren, Austin, Jaden, Michaela, Madison, Mallory, Christopher, Jacob, Jared, Brandon, and Kody; one great granddaughter, Addilynn; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and George; one infant twin sister, Karen; and her parents.

Rev. Chuck Russell will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Cheney Witt Chapel. Cremation will follow. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday evening at the Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Sharon Wiggans Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the Cheney Witt Chapel, P.O.
