Lady Tigers tripped up by Center

The Nevada Lady Tigers dropped a 55-29 West Central Conference contest to Kansas Center Friday night at Wynn Gym.

The Lady Tigers found themselves in an early hole, trailing 16-3 at the conclusion of the first quarter. Center stayed hot in in the second frame, outscoring Nevada 16-8 to grab a commanding 32-11 halftime advantage.

Nevada was unable to make up any ground in the third quarter, as Center went on top 50-23 entering fourth.

Nevada (8-15 overall, 3-7 WCC) was led by freshman forward Lindsey Phebus, who finished with a team-high six points. For Center, Sckiya Banister tallied a game-high 19 points.

The Lady Tigers return to the court Tuesday, when they host Sedalia Smith-Cotton for a boys-girls varsity doubleheader.
