Linda Lou McCormick, 69, Roundup, Mont., formerly of Nevada, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at home following an illness of several weeks. She was born Nov. 12, 1947, in Nevada, to Clarence and Virginia Mae (McKenzie) Peterson.

Linda graduated Nevada High School in 1964. She married the love of her life, George Brent McCormick on April 14, 1971, and to their union one daughter was born. Linda worked as a secretary at the State Hospital in Nevada for 32 years, retiring from there in 1997. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Nevada. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma or as Mimmie refers to her, GG.

Survivors include her daughter, Heather Mitchem and her husband Tony, Roundup, Mont.; two grandsons, Dakota Mitchem and his wife Mandy, Joliet, Mont., and Gunner Mitchem, Bozeman, Mont.; one great granddaughter, Madelyn Mitchem, Joliet, Mont.; one sister, Rhonda Farmer and her husband Ron, Nevada; three brothers, Randy Kiger, Nevada, Troy Kiger and his wife Katie, Raymore Mo., and Jack Kiger and his wife Tammy, Kansas City, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Kathy Zoglmann; and two brothers, Clarence Harold Peterson Jr. and Glen Kiger.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, with Steve Russ officiating. Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada.
