Elnora Mae Wallace

Elnora Mae Wallace, 99 of Walker, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Elnora was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Horton, to George S. and Martha (Kimrey) Robison. She was married Nov. 26, 1934, in Nevada to Oran L. Wallace and he preceded her in death on Feb 9, 1989.

Elnora was raised in Horton and Deerfield and attended the Horton grade school. She lived nearly all her life in Vernon County and for the past 25 years in Walker. Elnora was a homemaker and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Walker. She was involved for many years with Walker Senior Citizens, Vacation Bible School at the Harwood Baptist Church and working for the Election Board in Harwood.

Throughout her life, Elnora enjoyed quilting, crocheting, cooking and especially being with her family.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Hardy and her husband Harry, of Kansas City; two sons, Jack Wallace and his wife Sharon, Nevada, and Brian Wallace and his wife Connie, of Nevada; six grandchildren, Lana Popejoy and husband Donald, Dawn Zachary and husband Scott, Caitlin Wallace, Caron De Fries and husband Steve, Sam Cawthorne and wife Tammy and Brian Wallace; seven great-grandchildren, Suzanne Prough and husband Greg, Jessica Dodd and husband Steven, Ashley Hardy, Dannielle McWilliams, Bradley Cawthorne, Kathryn Cawthorne and Brian Patrick Cawthorne; and one great-great-granddaughter, Baelynn Prough; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Elnora was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Gregory Hardy; four brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral Services for Elnora will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the Faith Baptist Church in Walker with Pastor Wyatt Brown officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Green Mound Cemetery, Harwood. Friends may call from now until 8 p.m. on Friday at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
