Thelma Lucille Pritchett, 85, Nevada, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, at Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada following a lengthy illness. Thelma was born March 18, 1933, in Rosco, Mo., to George Marion “Tator” and Mildred Mae (Manley) Blagg.

Thelma grew up in the Cedar Springs area in Cedar County and graduated from El Dorado Springs High School Class of 1948. She lived most of her adult life in Vernon County working for a time at Nellie Don and Kellwood Tent Factory in Nevada and then for an additional 22 years at Nevada State Hospital until her retirement in 1991. Thelma loved gardening, had a kind heart for animals and most of all loved being grandmother to her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her three children, Ellen Smith, Nevada; Angie Modlin and her husband Paul, Moundville, Dale Pritchett and his wife Lori, Holton, Kan.; eight grandchildren, Destiny Smith, Trey Silvola, Joshua Modlin, Brittney Modlin, Jeremy Modlin, Cody Modlin, Izaac Pritchett and Mary Pritchett; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Delbert Blagg, Cedar Springs, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ruth Kelley, Betty Mayben and Mary Trigg; and one brother, Kenneth Blagg.

Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, at Moore Cemetery in Nevada with the Rev. Jerod Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends from 2–3 p.m. prior to the service at Ferry Funeral Home.

Memorials are suggested in her memory to Baron Alzheimer’s Care Center in Nevada in care of Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada.
