Sunyoa June Dockery

Sunyoa June Dockery, 91, Sheldon, Mo., passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2019, at home. Sunyoa was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Muskogee, Okla., to Silas Joseph and Annie Mae (Tibbs) Bumpass.

Sunyoa grew up and graduated high school in Worland, Wyo. She was primarily a homemaker, traveling all over the country while her husband Glen was in the oil business. She has resided in Sheldon for the past fifty years. Sunyoa loved crocheting and reading, as well as spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Glenna Treece and her husband, Lloyd, of Osage Beach, Mo., and Kenneth Dockery and his wife, Beverly, of Sheldon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen in 2013; her son, Dale Dockery in 2010; one brother, Joe Bumpass; and two sisters, Chris Alvarez and Judith Santee.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 28, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada with Kenny Batson officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for memorials to go to Heartland Hospice, Butler, Mo., in care of the funeral home.
