Patricia Ann Hollandsworth, 65, Nevada, Mo., passed away July 13, 2019, at Medicalodge of Nevada, following a year-long battle with cancer.

Pat was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Drexel, Mo., to James and Bonnie (Twillegar) Colton. She was united in marriage on March 17, 1987, to Curtis O. Hollandsworth in Butler, Mo. They resided in DeSoto, Kan., and Seymour, Iowa, before settling in Nevada in 1997. He preceded her in death in 2004.

Growing up in rural towns throughout southern Missouri, she graduated Metz High School in 1971 before attending Missouri Job Corp in Excelsior Springs, Mo., where she received her diploma in Early Childhood Teaching Education in 1972.

Pat was a homemaker, raising her daughters and babysitting many nieces and nephews over the years. She enjoyed spending her time watching old TV shows, particularly Little House on the Prairie and Western movies, doing search-word puzzles, and visiting with family and friends. She liked going to thrift shops and yard sales to find great deals.

She is survived by her daughters, Kristy Stanton and husband, Chris, of Springfield, Mo., and Amanda Chesnut and husband, Kenneth (Budd), of the home; her grandchildren, Andrea Tummons, Springfield, Kevin Byrd, Ash Grove, Kamara Pearcy, Bolivar, and Cassondra Simmons, Springfield; and 12 great-grandchildren. Pat is also survived by her siblings, Kenneth and MaryAnn Twillegar, Raymore, Glenda and Jackie Thomas, Rich Hill, Shirley Gann, Nevada, James and Yvonne Colton, Hepler, Ks. Donna and Lonne Rowland, Nevada, and Robert Colton, Rich Hill.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a brother, Terry Colton; and a great-grandson, Matthew.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, at Heuser Funeral in Rich Hill, Mo., with services to begin at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bill Smith officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions to be made to Heartland Hospice of Butler, Mo.
