Barbara Ruth Doolittle

Barbara Ruth Doolittle, 86 of Nevada, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2020, at Medicalodges of Nevada. She was born on May 31, 1933, in Hudson, N.Y., to William and Ruth (Wallace) Hale. She was married to Charles E. Doolittle on Nov. 29, 1966, in Wooster, Ohio. After 50 plus years together he preceded her in death in April 2018.

Barbara was a loving mother to eight children. She will be missed for her sense of humor and loving care that she had for her family. Barbara loved to travel and throughout her lifetime she visited all 50 states. For the past two years she has lived in Nevada after having resided in Mansfield, Ohio, for most of her lifetime.

She is survived by her children, Vikki Finney, Walker, La., Robert Horsley (Irene), Nevada, Mo., Bud Doolittle (Susan), Elma, Wash., Tina Credeur, New Orleans, La., Chris Doolittle, Sagle, Idaho, Todd Horsley (Jackie), Montegut, La., Diana Rothenberger, (Bart), Sagle, Idaho, and Toby Doolittle (Tammy), Soldotna, Ala.; 10 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and a brother, Robert Day, Henderson, Nev. In addition to her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Clark of Mansfield, Ohio.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 5, at the Mansfield Cemetery in Mansfield, Ohio. Local arrangements are under the direction of Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Mo.
