Nevada R-5 School District reports three new cases of COVID-19

Over the weekend, the Nevada R-5 School District announced new positive COVID-19 cases. According to Superintendent Dr. Tyson Beshore, on Sunday, Oct. 4, "Today, we received notification of two Middle School students who tested positive for COVID-19. The Vernon County Health Department is notifying all individuals who meet the definition of close contact and will instruct those individuals of their required next steps.”

Additionally, on Monday, the school district announced another positive COVID-19 case. “Today, we received notification of a High School staff member who tested positive for COVID-19,” stated Dr. Beshore. The health department is also following up with this case to determine individuals who may have come into close contact.
