Donna Flo Steward

On Dec. 16, 2020, Donna Flo Steward, loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 80. Donna was born on April 16, 1940, in El Dorado Springs to Florence and Levi Mitchell. On Dec. 29, 1957, she married Dwain Steward. Together the raised a daughter, Penny Steward Moore.

Donna had a passion for being actively involved in community organizations throughout her life, often serving in leadership roles. Notably, she was past president of the El Dorado Springs High School Alumni Association where she has volunteered for many years.

Donna was a co-leader, with Dwain of the Vernon County 4-H Drill team for over 25 years. Ever the organizer, for 25 years she planned Dwain’s annual Santa visits on Christmas Eve for many El Dorado Springs families. Donna and Dwain have spent the last 21 years enjoying their winter home in Alamo, Texas, while staying connected to friends and family in El Dorado in the summers.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Levi Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Dwain; daughter, Penny Steward Moore; two grandchildren, Mitchell Steward Moore and Reilly Catherine Moore; sister, Linda Klotz; several nieces; and a nephew.

Special thanks to the staff and physicians at Cedar County Memorial Hospital for your loving care of Donna in her last days. Due to COVID, the family has decided to have a memorial celebration of Donna’s life on her birthday, April 16, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.
