LaDonna “Sam” Marie Holding

LaDonna “Sam” Marie Holding, 56, passed away at her home in Nevada, Mo., on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021. Sam was born on Nov. 18, 1964, in Nevada, to Larry Thomas and Patricia Louise (Smotherman) Holding.

Sam was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Nevada. Her hobbies were cross stitching, genealogy and photography.

Survivors include her mother, Pat; two brothers, Mike Holding and his wife Paula, Nevada, Mo., and Shawn Daugherty, Joplin, Mo.; an uncle, Jack Smotherman, Nevada; and, a niece, Jordan Holding, Miss. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Frances Smotherman and a cousin, Jackie Smotherman.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 1, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, in Nevada, with Father Peter Savidge officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Nevada. Rosary will be at 5 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 31, at Ferry Funeral Home, Nevada, followed by a visitation until 7 p.m..
