Verner Vesper Creek III

Verner Vesper Creek, III, 72, Republic, Mo., formerly of Nevada, passed away on Friday, Jan. 29, 2022. Verner was born Sept. 4, 1949, in Nevada, Mo., to Verner V. Creek, II, and Tisha A. (Braswell) Creek.

Verner was born and raised in Nevada. He worked in the family business with his parents at Dari Crème while growing up. He graduated from Nevada High School in 1967 and then attended the University of Missouri-Rolla. Verner worked for a time at Venture Department Stores and the Gillette Company, both in Chicago. In the early 1990s, he moved to Uniontown in western Arkansas and worked at a television station in Ft. Smith as Production Engineer. In 1992, Verner moved to the Branson, Mo., area and later to Republic, Mo., in 2008.

Survivors include his daughter, Marissa Casey (Kyle), Springfield, Mo.; two sisters, Martha Swenson, Nevada, and Virginia Creek, Nevada; one nephew and his family of Nevada; and several cousins also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Donald Creek.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada.
