Emergency personnel respond to smoke scare

Emergency personnel with the Nevada Fire Department and Nevada Police Department responded to a suspected house fire in the 600 block of West Walnut early Tuesday afternoon. Crews had the area, between Spring and West streets, blocked off for the response. Initial reports noted the reporting party suspected an attic fire. However, upon arrival at the scene, nothing was found after the investigation of the home. The incident was listed as a "smoke/odor" scare.
