Shirley Jean (Key) Winters

Shirley Jean (Key) Winters was born Dec. 16, 1934, in Walker, Mo. Shirley passed away on May 1, 2023, in Rogue River, Ore.

Shirley was the eldest of nine children born to Byron Clinton Key Sr. and Viola Anna (Balk) Key. She was raised in Walker, Mo., but has lived in Oregon and California most of her adult life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dr. Robert James Winters; two sons, Randy and Kenny Culbertson; three siblings, Byron Key Jr., Martha Key Moore, and Joyce Key Drummond.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila (Culbertson) Farley of Oregon; sons, James Winters of Missouri and John Winters of Oregon; brothers, Jim Key of Nevada, Mo., Sam Key of Independence, Mo., and Jerald Key of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Lena Claypool of Richards, Mo., and Kathleen Hammergren of Johnstown, Pa.; and four grandkids.
