Oleta Kathrine (Blehm) Keightley

Oleta Kathrine (Blehm) Keightley, 89, Harwood, Mo., passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, Mo. Oleta was born March 22, 1934, in Arnette, Okla., to Ezra G. and Lydia Belle (Becker) Blehm. She married Elvan Keightley on June 7, 1953, and he preceded her in death in 2001.

Oleta grew up in Arnette and moved to Yakima, Wash., with her family where she graduated High School from Auburn Academy. She and Elvan spent most of their married life in Oregon and came to Vernon County in 1981. Oleta was primarily a homemaker but also worked at Key Work Clothes in Nevada for a time.

Oleta is survived by six children, Douglas Keightley (Rosie), Gervais, Ore., Daniel Keightley (Donna), Harwood, Kathrine O’Daniel, El Dorado Springs, Samuel Keightley (Sabrina), Salem, Ore., James Keightley (Tina), Harwood, and Jason Keightley, El Dorado Springs; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; and a brother, Kenny Blehm, Yakima, Wash. In addition to her husband, Elvan, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Brown; one grandson; and one great-grandson.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 9, at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Nevada, with Pastor Dennis Mix and Pastor Mike Carner officiating.
