This year, the Bushwhacker Quilt Guild commemorates its 40th anniversary since its establishment in 1983. Demonstrating remarkable resilience, the guild continues to thrive to this day. The highly anticipated annual show featured an impressive array of quilts, with a total of 129 regular quilts and 12 word challenge quilt entries.

Members of the public are invited to participate in the voting process to determine their favorite quilt in the exhibition. Voting will remain open until Saturday, June 10, at 3 p.m. The guild will then unveil this year's winner.

President Erica Skouby revealed that the Opportunity Quilt, aptly named "Scrappy Rails," has taken center stage. Additionally, the 12 word challenge quilts will be donated to either a child at the Children's Center or a resident of Moore-Few Care Center.

Noteworthy events include member Becky Bruce's informative demonstrations on hand quilting techniques and member Sandra Horvath's captivating demonstrations on creating collage quilts. These demonstrations will be held at various times throughout the festivities of Bushwhacker Days.

President Skouby expressed her sincere hope that everyone will thoroughly enjoy the show. The Quilt Show will continue throughout the remainder of the Bushwhacker Days and is located at First Christian Church, on the corner of Washington Street and Austin Boulevard.
