Douglas Marion Pryor

Douglas Marion Pryor, 61, of Nevada, Mo., passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Nevada Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Doug was born on May 6, 1962, in Nevada, to James and Beverly (Crump) Pryor.

Doug was raised in Nevada. He later moved to Kansas City where he married Mary Sanders. They moved to Columbia, Mo. He resided in Columbia for several years until he moved to Joplin, Mo., to help care for his brother. He recently moved back to Nevada to be closer to family and has been living here for a couple of years. Doug enjoyed playing pool, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and enjoyed being around friends and family, especially his young great nieces and nephews.

Survivors include his wife and best friend Mary of Fayette, Mo.; stepson, Jaycob Riley of Columbia; stepdaughter, Amber Kahn and her four children (his grandchildren), Maddie, Molly, Elina, and Lexie; one brother, James Pryor (Becky) of Nevada; one sister, Susie Pritchett (Randy) of Nevada; a sister-in-law, Cathy Moore-Pryor of Nevada; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Steven, Tracy, and Greg; and an infant sister, Karen.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ferry Funeral Home to help with funeral costs.
