Peggy Lee Mott

Peggy Lee Mott passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2023, in Springfield, Mo., at the age of 67. She was born Sept. 7, 1955, in Oroville, Calif., to Charles Vernon and Katherine Ann (Langston) Ramey.

Peggy graduated from Hughson Union High School, Hughson, Calif., in 1973, and on Aug. 21, 1973, she married Randy Mott, and together they raised four children. She had worked at the Nevada, Mo., Walmart for over 20 years as the department manager in Health and Beauty Aids, retiring in 2004. She enjoyed thrifting and researching ancestry. Peggy loved everybody and would help anyone that needed help, but her family was her greatest joy.

Peggy is survived by her husband of 50 years; a son, Don Mott and his wife Jillian, Harrisonville, Mo.; two daughters, Brandy Donnelly and her husband Philip, Nevada, Mo., and Jennifer Remillard and her husband David, Lamar, Mo.; a nephew, David Guinn, who she raised as a son; grandchildren, Brianna Batchelor and her spouse Gage Rice, Kaleb Mott, Emily Hopkins, Coleson Mott, Ayden Lile, Dillian Guinn, Evan Hopkins, Sawyer Mott, Alexis Remillard, Paxton Mott, Grayson Lehmann, Avery Remillard and Adelyn Remillard; three great-grandchildren, Evelyn Rice, Amelia Rice and Bryson Rice; two brothers, Charles Ramey and his wife Ann, Nevada, Mo., and Harry Ramey, Nevada, Mo.; and one sister, Robin Burris, Ceres, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert Mott; and two sisters, Betty Davis and Patsey Guinn.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 15, at Ferry Funeral Home, in Nevada.

Family and friends will gather at Rockpile Cafe in Sheldon, Mo., at 5 p.m., Saturday, July 15, for a Celebration of Life.
