Ronald Gene Price

Ronald Gene Price, 78, Nevada, MO passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Nevada Regional

Medical Center.  Ron was born on March 14, 1945, in Nevada, MO, to Ray and Della (Gilmore) Price.

He married Sandra Barnes on Oct. 16, 1971, in Nevada and she preceded him in death in 2016.

    Ron was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School in 1963.  He worked 25 years for 3M until his retirement.   In his spare time, Ron enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gun collection.  He also enjoyed being with friends and family, especially going to 54 Café to drink coffee and socialize.  Ron was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Nevada.

     Ron is survived by his children, Michael Price, Nevada, and Lisa Martinie (Bill), Overland Park, KS;

three grandchildren, Zoe Hayes, Amy Hayes, and Indiana Hayes; two step-grandchildren, Carter Lower and Victor Martinie; two sisters, Sandy Wallace, Nevada, and Pat Norris (Jim), Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.   In addition to his wife, Sandra, Ron was preceded in death by his parents.

    Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Ferry Funeral Home, with Pastor Terry Mosher officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.   Interment will follow in Newton Burial Park, Nevada.

     Memorials are suggested in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in c/o Ferry Funeral Home.
