Anna Lee Bloesser

Anna Lee Bloesser, 83, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, MO.  Anna Lee, the fourth of nine children was born on July 19, 1940 in Walker, Kansas to Herman Klotz, St. and Betty Barrett Klotz.

 

     She attended the Lincoln School which was a one room schoolhouse just down the road from the family farm. She graduated from Nevada High School with the Class of 1958. 

 

     Anna Lee was married to the love of her life, John Bloesser on December 20, 1958. She enjoyed helping on their family farm, doing lawn work, following her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities, and spending time with family and friends.

 

     Anna was employed at SH Kress Dime Store as a salesclerk and the ACS office in Nevada. In 1971 she and John started Bloesser Insurance Agency as independent agents selling all kinds of coverage through many companies. After the death of John in 2001 she and her son Perry continued the family business until her retirement.

 

     Anna Lee was a member of the Eastern Star of Nevada and the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nevada.

 

     She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents; siblings, Fern Dolezal, Herman Klotz, Jr., and Joyce Gundy; sister-in-law, Vivian Center; and brother-in-law, Tom Bloesser. 

 

     Survivors include two children, Deanna Bloesser Ness (Don) Nevada, and Perry Bloesser (Peggy) Nevada. Grandchildren, Bethany Good Stewart (Geoff) Nevada, Brant Ness (Lora) Carl Junction, John Bloesser, Nevada, Cinda Fritter Schnieder (David) Olathe, Marc Fritter (Melissa) Nevada, Jill Fritter Arnold (Chad) Newton, KS. Great grandchildren, Grady and Sophie Stewart, Gryffin and Ansen Ness, Derek and Kali Fritter, and Alivia Arnold; two sisters, Shirley Vincent Nevada, and Marjorie Johnson (Walt) Nevada; three brothers, Marvin Klotz (Betty) Nevada, Morris Klotz (Betty) Nevada, and Albert Klotz (Mary) Bella Vista, AR; sister-in-law, Leta Bloesser; and many nieces and nephews. 

 

     A private family service will be held at a later date.

 

     Memorials are suggested to the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Nevada.
