Weekend storms bring possible tornado, flooding to Vernon County

Heavy rains over the weekend caused a wash out on Industrial Parkway just north of the new Nevada Animal Shelter. On Monday, county officials were waiting for water to recede from rural roads to assess any damage in the county.

Wind and rain caused issues in Vernon County over the weekend, beginning with a suspected tornado near Metz Friday evening.
