Shaun Timothy Morgan

Shaun Timothy Morgan, 53, Nevada, MO passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 at Nevada Regional Medical Center. Shaun was born October 14, 1971 in North Kansas City, MO to Dennis D. Morgan and Christine Ann (Head) Clark.
Shaun was raised in Nevada and graduated from Nevada High School Class of 1990. He attended the University of Ottawa for two years where he was a pitcher for the baseball team. Shaun worked for Brown Distributing Company in Nevada for 10 years and was currently employed by W.L. Spraying where he has worked for the past six years. Known for his sense of humor, Shaun had a way of making everyone smile. His jokes, sometimes corny, always genuine- were part of what made him so easy to talk to. Shaun was also a passionate sports fan who took his role as “Coach Dad” seriously. Of course, coaching his own kids meant there were a few… disagreements. Let’s just day there were as many time-outs for attitudes as there were water breaks. Deep down everyone knew it came from a place of love for both the game and his kids. Shaun loved hunting (even though he scared off or missed every single good-sized buck) and fishing. Shaun’s love for the casino was well known; whether it was penny slots or the energy of the floor, he found joy in the gamble. Win or lose, he always had a good time and usually walked out with at least a few new “friends”.
Shaun is survived by his companion, Pixie Smith of the home; two sons, Tate Morgan, Joplin, MO, and Gaven Morgan, Springfield, MO; one daughter, Alaina Kostella (Patrick), Joplin; one step-child, Kylie Seaver (Ryan), Nevada, three granddaughters, Harper, Adalynn, and Blair; two sisters, Kerri Myers (Chris), Webb City, MO, and Beth Hedrick (Jason), Rolla, MO; one step-brother, Paul Murphy (Kerri), Nevada. MO; and his step-mother, Linda Morgan, Rolla, MO; as well as several nieces and nephews, and one grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Lloyd Clark; brother, Nick Morgan; and a nephew, Gagen Hedrick.
A Memorial Visitation will be held for Shaun on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Ferry Funeral Home in Nevada, Missouri from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Service to follow at Ferry Funeral Home. A private burial will follow on Thursday, June 12th at Newton Burial Park in Nevada.
