Lisa Leanne Owens Wittwer

Lisa Leanne Owens Wittwer passed away in Portland, Oregon on June 5, 2025 with her husband Freddie and daughter Alex by her side.

Lisa was born in Nevada, MO on May 10, 1965. The daughter of Linda Baker Owens and Don Owens.

She graduated from Nevada High School. Attended Fort Scott Community College and became a Cosmetologist. She worked for the State supporting Down Syndrome First Steps, and at the Nevada State Hospital. Later in life she received a degree as an Esthetician in Oregon.

As a child she attended the Salvation Army Church. When it closed she went to Calvary Baptist.

She is survived by the “Love of her life” husband “Freddie Wittwer” and daughter Alex Huppe.

Also surviving are her mother Linda Owens & step father Jerry Brasher of Nevada. Her husband’s family in Michigan. Sister-in-law Judy Owens of Wichita, Uncle Terry Baker and family of Nevada, Aunt Rosetta Nichols of Nevada, Aunts Jami Dotson, Melita McDermett, Hazel Stuart, Jan Bliss, Uncle Jeff Baker.

Nieces and nephews Amanda Bearden, Doug and Lin Baker, A.J. and Amy Owens, and Holly Owens.

Great nieces & nephews, Melessa, James, Nicole, Kohl, Randy, Pryce, Jack and Theo.

Preceding her in death were grandparents Jim &Ruby Baker, Dorothy Baker of Nevada. Lowe and Dorthea Owens of Springfield, her brother Don Owens Jr., nephew Grady Owens, Uncle Jim Baker Jr and Donnie Baker.

As per Lisa’s wishes her ashes will be returned to Nevada for burial.

A celebration of life will be held at Spring Street Park Sunday, June 22 at 2pm. A time for family and friends can visit and share memories. Snacks and soft drinks provided.
