Dale Wayne Pryor

Dale Wayne Pryor, age 63, of Bronaugh, MO passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 4, 2025.  Dale was born on January 31, 1962, in Pittsburg, KS to Chester Jr. and Evelyn (Woodward) Pryor.

     Dale was a high school graduate and had worked as a Train Engineer, previously working for Hagaman’s, Marrone’s, Watco, Midwest Minerals, Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railroad Company Inc.  On August 20, 2005, he married Mable Pryor, and she preceded him in death in April 2025.  He was a founding member of the Pittsburg Model Railroad Club, past member of the Shriners and Scottish Rites and a Hunting Club.  Dale liked to fish, hunt, cook and breed German Shepherd dogs. Additionally, he loved traveling and going on adventures including canoeing trips and going to the diamond mine in Arkansas.

     Dale is survived by his mother, Evelyn Pryor, Frontenac, KS; two sons Nicholas Vernon and his wife Tiffany, Nevada, MO, and Donald Vernon and his wife, Crystal, Dunedin, FL; a brother, Chester “Artie” Pryor, Gerard, KS; a sister Leona Pryor, Frontenac, KS; grandchildren, Andrew, Avalyn, Domanick, Alyvia and Emma; as well as nephews, Jesse, Justin, and Joseph Pryor and a niece, Arlene Sayre.

     A private service will be planned.
