Margie Lee Guerrant

Margie Lee Guerrant, 93, passed away on October 4, 2025 at Kingdom Care Nursing facility in Fulton, MO.

Margie was born on July 9, 1932, in Seneca, Missouri to Ernest and Gladys (Thompson) Stratton. On December 6, 1951, she was married to Robert (Bob) Guerrant and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2011. They raised their family in Fulton, Missouri. Margie worked for Doctor Hill and Doctor Groce. Bob and Margie owned Western Auto and Margie operated the day to day business. When Western Auto closed, Margie earned her insurance license and joined Bob at his insurance office, Bob Guerrant Insurance Agency. She led several successful United Way campaigns and was an active member of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA).

Margie loved Jesus and she loved her family. She was a dedicated Sunday School teacher, Vacation Bible School leader, led youth activities, directed and sang in the church choir and was church clerk. She taught many children to learn to use their Bible and lead them to know Jesus as their person Lord and Savior. Margie was an avid reader which included reading the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations several times. She was a member of Reform Baptist Church and later a member of Southside Baptist Church.

Margie was the happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She loved to cook for them and gave the best hugs. She also enjoyed hosting huge family reunions in the front yard which displayed her gift of organizing and cooking.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen Hertzberg of Nevada, MO; her son Tim Guerrant (Marcia) of Fulton, MO; four grandchildren Blake Hertzberg (Amy) of Nevada, MO, Darcy Herold (Jason) of Lee’s Summit, MO, Jacob Guerrant (Lindie) of Columbia, MO, and Jessica Willer (Phillip) of Fulton, MO’ great-grandchildren; her sister Mary Dunavant-Deloney of Fulton, MO, her niece, Suzane Guerrant (David) of Fulton, MO, her nephew, Scott Dunavant (Stacey), Rogersville, MO and numerous other nieces and nephews. Margie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Guerrant, her son-in-law, Steve Hertzberg, great-grandson, Harrison Herold, and brother, Donald Stratton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025 from 10:00 am – 11:30 am at Debo Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 am at the funeral home with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Burial will be in Callaway Memorial Gardens in Fulton, MO.
