Jerry Dean Smith, 44, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away Saturday, Oct. 27, 2007. Jerry was employed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel, as a banquet and catering server for 9 years. He was a member of NEAA, recently celebrating his tenth year of sobriety. He was dedicated to helping anyone who needed his help, just as he was doing at the time of his death. He loved people and animals. The news paper said he was "a good samaritan." That he was! Always there to listen, lend a hand and be a friend. Jerry will be missed by many but never forgotten. The Lord has called on his helping hands and heart. What an asset he will be. We can all only hope that we impact and touch as many lives as he did. The family would like to thank everyone for all the support and shared stories we have received.
