William and Jan McCaffree -- 50 years

Mr. and Mrs. William G. McCaffree celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 4, 2012. The former Jan Myers of Winter Haven, Fla., and Bill McCaffree of Nevada, Mo., were married at All Saints Episcopal Church in Nevada the day following the bride's graduation from Cottey College. Jan also received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pittsburg State University.

Bill is a graduate of the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri School of Law. He served for 3 1/2 years with the Army J.A.G. Corps in Bremerhaven, Germany. He is a former Vernon County Prosecuting Attorney and is currently the Nevada City Attorney.

The couple have one son, Mike (Julia), and three grandchildren, Madilyn, Caroline and Allison. They also have two stepgrandchildren, Caleb and Shelby, and a stepgreat-grandson, Maddox.
