Downtown holiday lights to be turned off during season

Vehicle fire leaves owner walking

This vehicle, owned by Cecil Pritchett, caught fire early this morning, apparently after the gas line broke while he was stuck in a snow drift at the entrance to the Hardee's, where he works. Pritchett said snow plows on Austin had created the drift. "I'm walking today," Pritchett joked. He was guessing as to the cause of the fire that completely gutted the vehicle. "I had a tank full of gas and suddenly I didn't have any and it caught on fire," he said. The fire occurred at about 4:20 a.m...
