The Missouri Depart-ment of Conservation will host a Whitetail Deer Management seminar in the Nevada High School auditorium on Tuesday, Oct. 19, from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Soybean harvest continues

A farmer just east of Nevada combines soybeans on Wednesday afternoon. Grain producers throughout Vernon County are harvesting beans while the warm, dry weather lasts. The harvest is "going good" according to Jamie Sullivan of Producers Grain in Walker. Sullivan said she would estimate the harvest to be about half done and the yield is good on some farms and not on others, "the late beans seem to be doing better," she said...
