A Maryville, Mo., woman suffered moderate injuries in a traffic crash Wednesday evening. According to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Delores E. Heitman, 67, was driving a 2004 Buick Rendezvous, northbound on U.S. 71, 9 miles north of Nevada, when, the patrol said, her vehicle was forced off the roadway by a tractor-trailer. Stockton woman charged with theft

Quick action by two local businessmen led to the identification and arrest of a 47-year-old Stockton woman for allegedly stealing items from Rinehart's Jewelry in Nevada, according to a press release from the Nevada Police Department. Immediately after the theft was discovered, the store manager at Rinehart's alerted the proprietor of Cooper's Pawn Shop.
