Homer Paul Lyons, 91, resident of Fort Scott, Kan., died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Mercy Hospital. He and his twin brother, Howard, were born Feb. 28, 1921, to Paul Irvin Lyons and Roxie Mary Cary Lyons on the family farm north of Metz, Mo., the site which is now the McGennis Youth Center. He was educated in the rural public schools and graduated from Metz High School. He married Clara Margaret Easton on July 25, 1943, in Wichita, Kan. She preceded him in death on Nov. 9, 2010...
