Nevada Regional Medical Center directors learned Tuesday that net operating income in August had substantially exceeded expectations, totaling $249,480 in comparison to the budgeted amount of $75,243. Chief Financial Officer Tommy McGee told the board that the hospital's discharges of patients and out-patient visits were higher than budgeted by 10.4 and 7.5 percent, respectively, while patients' accounts receivable fell by $654,253 from the end of July to the end of August...
