Vehicle assessments to be based on VIN

Vernon County Assessor Cherie Roberts has started using vehicle identification numbers to determine the value of vehicles more accurately. Although relatively new, the VIN process is not required by law, but it may soon be. The Missouri Department of Revenue would like to see VIN's used to make sure taxpayers are assessed fairly. The difference between what a taxpayer puts on their assessment list and what the vehicle actually is can be quite a bit, Roberts said...

Elementary combines art show with reading
