Letha Irene Hackney, 104, Nevada, Mo., passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2013, at Christian Health Care in Nevada, following an illness of several months. She was born Jan. 2, 1909, in Dederick, Mo., to Claude Roberts and Anna Adams Roberts. She married Wes Timbers on June 16, 1929, in Fort Scott, Kan., and he preceded her in death in 1940. She then married Joe Hackney on March 26, 1944, and he preceded her in death in 1986...

Betty Easley passed from this life to eternal life with her Lord on Sunday, March 3, 2013, her family at her side. She will be sorely missed by her family and large circle of friends. Betty was born in West Plains, grew up in Kansas City and attended the University of Missouri. After college she moved to West Plains where she met the love of her life Robert Easley and they were united in marriage on Sept. 5, 1948. Council OKs UV lights for sewer plant
