Edna Marthabelle Jenson, 92, Nevada, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2013, at Moore-Few Care Center in Nevada. Edna was born April 19, 1921, in Rich Hill, Mo., to Charles Edmond White and Sarah Kathryn Van Cleeve White. She was married to Claude Stewart on Nov. 4, 1939, in Butler, Mo., and he preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Ralph Jenson and he preceded her in death on July 1, 1990...

When I was a child growing up in the 1950s in Fort Scott, Kan., our extension office also offered these classes. Dear Editor: The Rich Hill School Board appointed the Multi-Purpose Completion Committee to develop a fund drive to raise the third portion of the funding to complete the safe room. The committee is set to start the fund drive on July 1 with the theme of, "Building Pride in the Rich Hill Community."
