Bonnie Brady, 80, retired personnel counselor and recruiter, passed from this life to the next on Aug. 28, 2013, at Clarehouse in Tulsa, Okla., after a brief illness. She was born Bonnie Louise Stamps on Feb. 28, 1933, in Nevada, Mo. She was the second child to Leo Calvin and Flossie Jane Stamps. She spent a happy childhood in her birthplace and graduated from Nevada High School in 1951, where she formed cherished, lifelong friendships...

Poster sale Monday at Cottey

City parks and recreation programs start soon

There are lots of activities planned for this fall by the Nevada Parks and Recreation Department. Signup is currently under way for youth flag football and will run through Sunday, Sept. 8. This is open to children age 4 through the second grade. The cost will be $15 for pre-K and kindergarten and $20 for first and second grades. Games will start the week of Sept. 16 and run through Oct. 25. All age groups will play at the Twin Lakes Sports Complex...
